Used Cooking Oil (UCO)
We source Used Cooking Oil from restaurants, food processors, and collection networks across India and other regions. Generated as a by-product of commercial food preparation, UCO is one of the most sustainable waste-based feedstocks available today. Through collaborations with authorised aggregators and collectors, we ensure proper collection, traceability, and certification of UCO, preventing its improper disposal and enabling its use in renewable fuel production.
Palm Residues (POME and PFAD)
We source Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) and Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) from certified palm oil processing facilities across Asia. Generated as by-products during milling and refining, these residues are recovered through ISCC-compliant networks to ensure responsible and traceable sourcing. Their utilisation helps reduce waste, cut emissions, and promote circularity in palm-producing regions.
Vegetable Oil Processing Waste
During edible oil refining, residues such as acid oils, soap stocks, and spent bleaching earth oil (SBEO) are produced. We are developing partnerships with processors and aggregators to recover and source these residues sustainably. By creating a structured collection and valorisation ecosystem, Essar Future Energy ensures that these industrial by-products are channelled towards renewable fuel production, rather than waste streams.
Non-Edible Oils and Other Waste and Residues
In addition to the above, we continue to evaluate and onboard new residue and waste-based feedstocks, including non-edible oils, agricultural residues, and other industrial by-products. This diversification allows us to strengthen our supply security, support circular economy principles, and reduce dependency on any single feedstock stream.
