Mriganka Tarafdar is the Chief of Technical Services at Essar Future Energy, bringing over 30 years of experience across refinery operations, technical services, commissioning, and process optimization within the refining and petrochemical sector. This marks his second stint with the Essar Group, having previously held leadership roles at Essar Oil (now Nayara Energy) and EET Fuels (formerly Essar Oil UK) across operations, technical services, and commissioning functions.
Prior to rejoining Essar in 2024, he was associated with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals, Nayara Energy, Interact, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive expertise in hydro processing units, fluid catalytic converters, catalyst management, crude evaluation, quality control, refinery optimization, and commissioning of complex refinery blocks including hydrotreater and residue conversion units.
At Essar Future Energy, Mriganka leads technical services and operational readiness initiatives for the company’s biofuels platform, supporting development of reliable, efficient, and future-ready refining operations for the business.
